Playing as a guest
The first time you play we create a guest profile with a random funny nickname and keep a random id in a secure cookie so your progress survives a refresh. No email, password or name required.
What we store
- Your nickname, fighter look and stats (fights, wins, streak)
- Fights you play (inputs and results), to verify results
- Your credits, purchases and cosmetics (no card details: Polar handles payment)
- Challenges you create and results of fights against them
- Anonymous usage events (like “fight finished”) to improve the game. No ads, no third-party trackers.
Linking X (optional)
If you link X, we ask for read-only basic access and keep only your numeric X account id, privately. We never store or show your @handle, never post for you, and never read your posts or followers.
Public things
Only results you choose to post appear on the KO Wall (nickname, fighters, caption). Challenge links show your nickname and fighter. You can take posts down any time.
Tagging friends
If you tag a friend's @handle when sharing, it only goes into the post you write on X. KO Buddy never receives or stores it.
Deletion
Ask us to delete your data any time and we will. Data is stored with Supabase (Postgres) and served by Vercel.
